Classes


Learn to Quilt. Students will learn fabric selection, cutting, sewing, quilting and binding your quilt. Finished product will be a small lap size quilt.

Cost: $ 200.00
Join Denise Phillips to learn how to make a sampler quilt of traditional-type blocks but using the Quick Curve Ruler. Denise provides tips and tricks to enhance your sewing.

Cost: $ 150.00
A graphic 72" square quilt containing half square triangles, square in a square units, flying gees and basic patchwork.

Cost: $ 150.00
Enjoy the precision of foundation paper piecing. Points are crisp and exact. Learn how to finish a quilt using a piped binding. Let Sheila Scott guide you through the wonderful world of paper piecing. Week one students will learn the how-tos of paper piecing; week two, students will finish and bind their quilts.

Join Deb Domin of Loopy D's Quilting to learn how to use rulers to finish your quilt. The morning session will use rulers to mark out your designs; the afternoon session will be sewing using your new skills.

Classroom Policies


Participation is not confirmed until payment has been received by Pinheads. Upon confirmation of participation, class requirements will be distributed.

  • Class fees are refundable only in the form of a store credit, unless previous arrangements have been made.
  • Class participants should bring the following to class every week: sewing machine, rotary cutter and mat, quilting ruler, thread, straight pins, stitch ripper, measuring tape, small scissors, safety pins, walking foot to fit your machine. Other supplies may be requested by the instructor. Please ensure your sewing machine is in good working order and that you know how to thread it.
  • Supplies will be additional to the class fee unless otherwise stated.
  • Class participants will be offered a 10 percent discount towards class supplies.
  • Class participants are asked to pre-purchase class supplies so that classes can start on time.
  • Cell phones should be put to silent or vibrate mode; phone conversations should be kept to a minimum so as not to disrupt the class.
  • Participants are welcome to bring water bottles and non-greasy, non-sticky snacks.
