- Class participants will be offered a 10 percent discount towards class supplies.
- Class participants are asked to pre-purchase class supplies so that classes can start on time.
- Cell phones should be put to silent or vibrate mode; phone conversations should be kept to a minimum so as not to disrupt the class.
- Participants are welcome to bring water bottles and non-greasy, non-sticky snacks.
Participants will have an opportunity for a "sew-cial" day with like-minded sewists. This is a great opportunity to finish outstanding projects, or be awestruck and inspired by other projects. Advanced registration is required to ensure a spot is available.

Join Pinheads in this 1 day class where you will learn how to make fabric sneakers using SneakerKit soles and insoles. We will use a method developed and taught by pattern designer, Tara Sinclair of UhOh Creations, called "Jerry Sneakers". This method will teach you how to make the sneaker's outer pieces with quilting and finished seam edges. This means no raw edges and no seam binding! We will complete one sneaker in class, giving you the skills you need to make your second at home. To make the best use of your class time, there will be some class prep involved -- the pre-quilting of your exterior shoe fabric. You will also learn to use the "Sewing Awl" with a built in needle, that is included in the price of your kit. This Sewing Awl will be set up with thread in either black or white, depending on the colour of your soles. The Sewing Awls, which will go home with you, will be waiting for you in class! Class will begin promptly at 9 a.m. at Pinheads. Working knowledge of your sewing machine is a must! Upon confirmation of registration, students are requested to email cathy@pinheadsquilting.ca to indicate shoe size, sole colour, and grommet finish. Registrations and orders placed past December 15 will be the responsibility of the student involved to order and ensure product arrives in time for the class.
